Felipe, amigo de Mafalda, deixa este mundo

    Amplify’d from blogs.estadao.com.br

    - “Decidi enfrentar a realidade. Então, logo que a realidade fique bonita, me avisem”

    - “Quando a gente não sabe o que dizer, não sabe como dizer que não sabe o que dizer”

    - “Sempre aparece um sarcástico materialista disposto a estragar nossas fantasias”

    - “O sentido da vida… é de mão dupla?”

The Ventures of Zimmerman: Bob Dylan em quadrinhos

    10 moments in Dylan´s career

    Amplify’d from www.smithsonianmag.com
Bob Dylan Newport Folk Festival 1964

"I'm a firm believer in the longer you live, the better you get." - Bob Dylan

Dylan said that in 1968, when he was 27. He turns 70 this month, as enigmatic as ever, a traveling troubadour on a self-proclaimed Never Ending Tour that began in 1988 and saw him playing 102 shows last year. He has been the young protest singer claiming he’s unconcerned with politics, the confessional songwriter who has offered as many myths as truths about his personal life, and the aging chronicler of the American folk songbook.

    Dominique nique nique

    Lembram da freirinha cantante?

Pois ela está de volta, e regravou seu maior sucesso, agora com uma letra atualizada:

    Dominique nique nique
Só se hospeda em hotel chic
    Mas arruma confusão
    Ele vira um tarado
    Camareira o vê pelado
    Com o FMI na mão

    ...

But don’t be too hard on young Bobby Zimmerman… He was a whole lot older then, and he’s younger than that now.

70 reasons why Bob Dylan is important

70 reasons why Bob Dylan is the most important figure in pop-culture history

Hats alright, ma: Dylan in 1963

    2. Because he made teenagers interested in poetry again. He offered a route
into symbolists like Rimbaud, Verlaine and Baudelaire, and City Lights beats
    like Ginsberg, Corso and Ferlinghetti.

    4. Because he invented folk-rock.

    9. Because of his unique mixture of gravity and comedy. Even on albums that
included songs as serious as "Masters of War" and "A Hard
Rain's a-Gonna Fall", there would always be room for a surreal, jokey
    talking blues or two.

    10. Because he wrote "It Ain't Me, Babe", the world's first
    anti-love song.

    14. Because he made nasty lyrics acceptable. Until Dylan released "Like a
Rolling Stone" and "Positively 4th Street", pop singles had
generally toed the lovey-dovey romantic party-line. Suddenly, pop
songwriting was afforded new vistas of theme and nuance, most notably
reflected in John Lennon's letting of his inner cynic off the leash.

    19. Because he had the balls to take an electric blues band on stage with him
at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival and crank up the volume. This became one
of the landmark events in rock history. Dylan's marriage of rock music and
folk literacy effectively laid the blueprint for the soundtrack to the whole
    counter-cultural experiment.

    31. Because he made Blonde on Blonde, the greatest album ever recorded.

    49. Because his 1966 world tour with The Hawks effectively invented rock
music, as distinct from rock'n'roll: nothing that loud, and that powerful,
had been heard on stage before.

    60. Because, if you turn the cover of John Wesley Harding upside-down and look
at the bark of the tree, you'll see The Beatles (vinyl only) (drugs
    optional).

A slight delay in the day of Rapture

    Amplify’d from sanfrancisco.ibtimes.com

Harold Camping, the infamous Doomsday prophet whose May 21, 2011 date turned out to be false, delayed the End Time date five months later to October 21, 2011 as he spoke in the Open Forum at Family Radio in Oakland, California.

About his followers who have spent their savings and quit their jobs because of the trust they put on their leader, Camping denied any responsibilities.

“They should have relied on God and not me,” Camping said. "Family Radio is not in the business of financial advice."
