America 2026 Season 7, Episode 17 Review 📺
from space_ranger_o
The writers room has devolved into a bunch of raccoons fighting over a keyboard.
In today's episode: an election document drop that accidentally exonerates China, a war on Canadian wind, & a multi-state diarrhea parasite at Taco Bell.
The plot holes are big enough to drive a tank through. The "president" is leaking his own incriminating receipts. The script is nonsense.
THIS WAS JUST TODAY: FRI JUL 17!
1/ The Damage Control Campaign.
The episode opens in the East Room with the White House in absolute panic mode.
Trump’s highly anticipated primetime address on "election vulnerabilities" backfired so spectacularly that the overnight hours were spent entirely on desperate cleanup.
Instead of delivering a grand political victory, the main character just got thoroughly humiliated by every fact checker on earth.
2/ The Public Data Discovery.
Let’s talk about the glaring script holes in his speech.
Trump claimed China pulled off the "largest election data breach in history" during 2020. Except federal officials immediately pointed out that the data accessed was standard, public voter registration rolls that anyone can literally buy online.
Failing to realize the difference between a cyber warfare hack and a public record is peak lazy writing. The continuity errors are exhausting 3/ The Wrong Country Subplot. It gets worse. To "prove" voting machines are catastrophically insecure, Trump cited newly declassified intelligence regarding a software vulnerability. The catch? The security flaw was found in a Venezuelan system that isn't even used in the United States. Our machines are closely monitored and backed by audited paper ballots. They are plagiarizing foreign dictator subplots because the domestic script isn't dramatic enough
4/ The Streaming Tantrum. The main character then threw a tantrum claiming major television networks "refused" to carry his address to conceal election corruption. In reality, ABC, NBC, and CNN broadcasted the whole thing live on their streaming platforms and YouTube. He also rambled that mail-in ballots are inherently corrupt, completely forgetting that he literally just voted by mail himself. He's fighting invisible monsters while actively participating in the system. 5/ The White House Projection Therapy. Because the truth hurt his feelings, the White House spent the night attacking journalists on social media. They issued an official statement targeting "MSDNC," calling the network "group therapy for the mentally deranged" because they cut away from his speech early. Labeling the media the "ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE" because they didn't want to broadcast your repetitive, 45 minute rerun of 2020 grievances is top tier toddler behavior
6/ The Self-Own.
This is the plot twist of the century. The writers just dropped the plot twist of the century, and it is pure episodic comedy.
Trump declassified a massive stack of intelligence files to prove China rigged the 2020 election against him. The catch? The actual text explicitly states China didn't meddle at all. Instead, his own leaked files confirm Vladimir Putin was the one running operations to help him win.
He literally pulled off the mask and found himself
7/ The "I'm Researching" Investigator.
To make the document drop even funnier, Trump's own hand picked investigator, John Solomon, went on air and completely blew up the script.
Solomon publicly admitted that zero votes were changed in 2020, 2022, or 2024, and that Venezuela never touched our machines. When asked if Biden actually won, the guy Trump hired to prove fraud could only sputter: "I’m researching.
