But what's surprising and frustrating is that so many of the same people who figured this out before, are buying their propaganda now and not being more cautious.

Ramy: Facebook has become a double-edged sword. We are still using it as activists and spreading information and so on. But the counter revolution has also started using facebook as well, in order to face our revolution, spread false information and try to calm down our uprising and get it to lay low. On March 14, workers were told that the assignment was dangerous and that they could opt out. Few did. Many workers felt duty-bound to go to Fukushima, particularly those with families who were directly affected by the earthquake and tsunami.

O artista plástico chinês Ai Weiwei, reconhecido internacionalmente, estaria desaparecido há mais de 24 horas após ser detido no aeroporto de Pequim.

Poucas horas após sua detenção, o estúdio do artista em Pequim foi invadido por mais de 40 policiais. Dezenas de itens foram confiscados e funcionários foram interrogados.

Ai Weiwei, 53, vem se tornando um dos mais eloquentes críticos do regime chinês, principalmente sobre a falta de respeito aos direitos humanos.

A obra de Ai Weiwei é reconhecida em todo o mundo. Ele ajudou a desenhar o estádio olímpico de Pequim, usado nos Jogos de 2008, que ficou conhecido como "Ninho do Pássaro".

Onze grafiteiros foram detidos pela Polícia Militar por volta das 12h deste domingo enquanto desenhavam em pilastras da estação Santana do metrô, na zona norte de São Paulo. No grupo havia artistas conhecidos, como a dupla Chivitz e Minhau, que assinou uma versão das sandálias Havaianas recentemente, e Binho e Presto, que já participaram de exposições de arte urbana.

"Resultado: nós vamos responder por crime ambiental, porque a lei não diferencia o artista do vândalo", disse Binho, 39. Nenhum deles quis comentar sobre a forma da abordagem da polícia.

"O lugar era todo feio, todo cinza da tinta da prefeitura. Aquele é nosso presente pra cidade", acrescentou Nove, 27.

Israeli actor and political activist Juliano Mer-Khamis, 52, was shot dead on Monday outside a theater which he founded in a refugee camp in the West Bank city of Jenin.

Some of the criticism focused on the fact that the theater offered co-ed activities, despite prohibition in the Islamic moral code.

Objectors were also outraged when Mer-Khamis staged the play "Animal Farm", in which the young actors played the part of a pig, which Islam considers an impure animal.

Mer Khamis said he had planned to stage The Lieutenant of Inishmore, a satire of armed resistance, but shelved the idea after someone smashed the window of his car.
